Christmas 2013 and onward

Christmas is coming and so is our annual Christmas Student Recital. My studio always provides 2 recitals in a year. Almost all of my students will be performing except those who will be out of town.

This year is my last term for my co-president work of BCRMTA Vancouver Branch. After stepping down from the job in January 2014, I will be a co-chair of BCRMTA Provincial Convention 2016 in Vancouver. This year, I am also helping SPG festival as honour recital coordinator. I am sure those jobs will keep me busy.

About SPG, Aries Fung who had his grade 1 exam in last January, entered 2 classes for grade 3. Dante Fung entered in Preliminary level. Owen Smith, my son, under the instruction of Nicholas Rada, participated 5 classes of grade 8.

Both Aries and Dante were very happy. It was Dante's 1st time to SPG. He has been working hard and he feels proud of himself for having a good experience in participating in a music festival. For Aries, he passed his grade 1 with 95, a remarkable result in last January. Now, he is preparing his grade 3 exam in April. Participating in a festival is helping him to achieve his goal. For Owen, he will have his grade 8 examination in January. Although his SPG result this year was not outstanding, he is working hard for his exam. He will be scheduled to perform in different recitals in next 2 months, to prepare for his exam. Good luck to him!
